In 2013, MMA performed various campaigns on-board the 82m DP2 Dive Support Vessel, the Crest Odyssey 2, on the North West Shelf of Western Australia.
The Crest Odyssey 2 is configured for both air and saturation diving and includes a three-man moonpool launch dive bell and two three-man hyperbaric chambers for saturation diving. The vessel was fitted out with MMA equipment including survey and positioning systems and two ROVs prior to mobilisation.
The campaigns included:
- Pre-commissioning services and support on the Macedon field
- Geotechnical drilling campaign on the Evans Shoal and Blackwood gas fields
- Inspection, repair and maintenance services, including saturation diving, air diving, ROVs and freespan rectification on the Blacktip field
- ROV Inspection campaign utilising two MMA ROVs and subsequent further, inspections and repairs on anchor lines on an FPSO
These successive projects demonstrate how MMA’s integrated range of capabilities provide clients with a fully managed solution. All projects were completed safely and received positive feedback from long-term clients.
