MMA SUPPORTS WOODSIDE IN DECOMMISSIONING SCOPE

MMA News

MMA's Vessel Services and Project Logistics teams were proud to support Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) and Woodside this month in a world-first decommissioning scope.

The MMA Monarch, MMA Coral and Mermaid Strait were on site to support the decommissioned Nganhurra Riser Turret Mooring in its transport to the Australian Marine Complex. Working closely with the HLV AEGIR and the HMC Towmasters onboard the MMA vessels, the scope of work was executed smoothly and in accordance with the detailed plans put in place after months of engineering and planning.

Once at AMC, the 2,500 tonne structure will be rolled off in a carefully choreographed operation, with more than 95% of the structure then going on to be recycled or reused.

Well done to MMA's entire team involved for the safe and successful delivery of this work scope.
