Developed in conjunction with Curtin University, MMA Offshore is proud to be supporting tomorrow’s hydrographic surveyors through the launch of the MMA Offshore Hydrographic Surveying Scholarship.

The MMA Offshore Hydrographic Surveying Scholarship will provide Bachelor of Surveying (Honours) students in their final year of study at Curtin University with a total value up to $3,500 towards their educational related expenses. The scholarship also provides students with the potential for vacation work, offering a hands-on and immersive experience alongside MMA’s team of experienced surveyors. As a kick-start to their surveying career, the scholarship also provides students with the potential for employment with MMA post-graduation.

Commenting on the scholarship launch, MMA’s Executive General Manager – Subsea Services, Mr Tom Radic, said providing Australia’s next generation of hydrographic surveyors with hands-on experience is set to improve the future development of the wider surveying industry.

“Together with Curtin University, MMA is excited to be both facilitating student learning and providing opportunities for participation in active Hydrographic Surveying industry projects,” Mr Radic said.

“At MMA, we believe the future we want is up to us to create. Providing real-world experiences to students is critical to the continued development of Australia’s hydrographic surveying industry and we’re excited to be welcoming more surveying students into the profession.”

Applications for the MMA Offshore Hydrographic Surveying Scholarship are open from Tuesday 2 February and close on Wednesday 9 March.
