MMA has a long history as a listed company in Western Australia and a strong reputation as a major employer in the marine industry. As global energy markets evolve, MMA is transforming into a diversified marine services provider with a focus on new markets such as offshore renewables and I look forward to bringing my skills and experience to the Board, to steer the Company through this phase of its development ”, Ms Murphy said.

Resignation of Ms Eva Alexandra (Eve) Howell as a Non-Executive Director

MMA advises that, as foreshadowed in its announcements in November 2020, its 2020 Notice of Meeting and during its 2020 Annual General Meeting, Ms Eve Howell would step down as a Non-Executive Director of the Company when a suitable replacement Non-Executive Director had been identified and appointed by the Company.

With the appointment of Ms Sue Murphy AO as a replacement Non-Executive Director, Ms Eve Howell will retire from the Board of Directors with effect from today, 30th April 2021.

Commenting on Eve’s retirement, MMA’s Chairman, Mr Macliver, said:

“I would like to thank Eve for the significant contribution she has made to MMA since joining the Board in 2012. Over her 9 years of service to the Board (three as Chair of the Company’s Audit & Risk Committee), Eve brought extensive experience in the oil and gas industry to the Board and has served MMA with great distinction, acting always in the best interests of the Company and its shareholders. Eve has been a mentor for many of the staff within the Company and has been instrumental in driving MMA’s current safety, risk management and diversity culture. I wish Eve all the very best as she steps down from her enviable career to enjoy a well-deserved retirement.”
